A CHAT W/ ZIGGY OSTAS

Q - Introduce yourself, where you're from

A - Hi my name is Ziggy Ostas, I'm a UK Dance music artist from Manchester focusing predominantly on genres such as speed garage, house, and bassline.

Q - Tell us about your track on Wired Vol. 2 (Influences, Sound, Goal)

A - My track 'Here We Go!' was initially an experiment as I hadn't really made any jungle prior to making this track. I was inspired by the likes of 4am Kru, Tim Reaper and Sully, and the more I made it, the more I liked it and decided that it could become a finished product. It's a very stereotypical jungle track in the sounds I decided to use, but I tried incorporating elements from my speed garage and house productions, which ended up working really nicely.

Q - Where do you see yourself in the future as an artist & what are your goals for the next few years?

A - I have a lot of self-belief and a vision of me achieving my ultimate goal, which is just being able to live off the music, travel the world through my career, share moments with fans all across the world, and change the industry for the better. Over the next few years, I'd like to continue growing my fan base and release some really exciting singles I have got in the locker.

Q - How did you first make contact with Transistor, and what made you decide to release your music with us?

A - I first made contact with Transistor when I came across the label on SoundCloud whilst looking for tracks for my sets—the page had some really incredible talent, and the whole thing looked so professional, so I wanted to be a part of it. I reached out over email, and the guys were on board with the idea—the rest is history.

Q - What is your favourite track from another artist on Wired Vol. 2 & why?

A - My favourite track on the VA has to be ance. - Flashing Highs —the track is just so unique and sonically pleasing. The sound selection and mixing are just so on point that I really can't fault it. Banger!!
